The Järvenpää-talo culture and congress centre is located in the centre of the town by the railway station and promenade. Järvenpää-talo is a multi-purpose cultural, congress and event centre.

In Sibelius Hall, which is acoustically among the best in the country, and Juhani Aho Hall with a mezzanine, you can enjoy memorable concerts, comedy and theatre as well as circus and dance performances.

For event organisers

Sibelius Hall

The Sibelius Hall is a 562-seat (with five places for disabled persons) high-quality auditorium-style hall with excellent acoustics, where concerts, meetings, educational and congress events as well as theatre performances are organised.

The Sibelius Hall is also often used for classical music recordings. The hall features a first-rate AV and lighting system.

Stage dimensions: In the theatre configuration (black box), the free space width is 13 m, maximum width 19 m, depth 11 m and there is a black/white dance mat.

Juhani Aho Hall

The comfortable Juhani Aho Hall features 163 seats, 53 of which are on the mezzanine. In the classroom configuration, the hall fits 80 people.

The 177 m2 hall with a level floor features good acoustics and an excellent AV system. The Juhani Aho Hall also has a Yamaha C7 grand piano.

The space is used for meetings, exhibitions, concerts, parties and theatre performances.

Ticket sales

Ticket sales for Järvenpää-talo are handled through Lippupiste. If an event is not sold out, ticket sales at the door will begin one hour before the event starts.

The opening hours for ticket sales are Mon–Thu 11 am–1:30 pm and 2–5 pm, Fri 9 am–1 pm. Tel. 040 315 2210.

Only telephone reservations are available for events held at Järvenpää-talo. At other times, Lippupiste’s telephone sales service is available on 0600 900 900 Mon–Sat 9 am–7 pm and Sun 12 noon–4 pm (€2/min. + local network charge). The service fees for events vary according to the venue. Claimed tickets cannot be exchanged/refunded.

In addition to cash, debit cards and credit cards, the following payment methods are accepted: Edenred, Smartum and ePassi cultural benefits.

The ticket office is located in the lobby of Järvenpää-talo on the 1st floor right next to the main entrance.

Intermission catering

Our restaurant serves customers before the start of events and during intermission. You can check the event calendar to see if our event includes an intermission. Intermission catering can be ordered in advance through the restaurant’s website.

The ordered catering will be laid out for you in advance and the tables will be marked as reserved with the table number we provide. Please order the catering at least three days before the event.

You can also order catering upon arrival at the event if there are still tables for sale/available.

By ordering in advance, you ensure that you can enjoy your intermission catering without having to wait in line.

Arrival

Trains run from Helsinki and Riihimäki to Järvenpää every 30 minutes. Trains depart from Helsinki at xx:40 and xx:10, and the travel time is approx. 30 minutes. Trains from Riihimäki arrive in Järvenpää at xx:17 and xx:47. The walk from the train station is about 150 m. From the airport, the taxi ride takes roughly 30 minutes.

When arriving by car on the Lahti highway, regardless of whether through the northern or southern junction, follow Järvenpää-talo’s car access directions towards the centre of Järvenpää.
